Sound Engineer

Tell me a little bit about your educational and professional background.
I have an Associates Degree in Communications majoring in Audio Engineering. From 1996 to 2005 I worked for a terrestrial radio group in Portland, ME called Saga Communications. This group consisted of 3 FM stations and 3 AM stations. During that time, I was the Assistant Manager for the 3 AM stations; 970 WZAN, 560 WGAN, 1890 WBEA and Assistant Commercial Producer for all 6 radio stations including FM stations; 93.1 WMGX, 100.9 WYNZ, and 101.9 WPOR.

My main background is in music. I have been a professionally touring bassist for 20 years and I also produce music for podcasts, videos and commercials.

What do you love about what you do?
I have always had an ear for sound and music specifically. Producing podcast allows me to work with both, create music and edit sound. I love the entire process of producing a podcast. Starting from editing the raw audio to publishing episodes and everything in between.

What do you like about working for SCC?
I really enjoy the flexibility that I get when working on projects for SCC. I also feel free to add my thoughts and ideas to each project.

What do you do in your spare time?
My favorite time is time spent with my daughter. I also love to workout and take kickboxing fitness classes on a weekly basis.

My main hobby is producing bass guitar lessons for my YouTube channel DM Music. The lessons are all encompassing and include, video, sheet music and drum loops for students to play along with.
